Marc DesRosiers-USA TODAY Sports - Sharks Offense Never Wakes Up; Sabres Win 3-0

The San Jose Sharks couldn't get their offense going in an early morning game where the Buffalo Sabres won 3-0 on Monday.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 27 saves for his second shutout of the season. The Sabres got goals from Casey Mittelstadt, Alex Tuch, and Jordan Greenway.

Kaapo Kahkonen was strong, making 32 saves, but ultimately got no help from the offense.

San Jose had a couple of high-danger chances but couldn't follow up any rebounds that Luukkonen gave up.

While their energy was decent throughout, the lack of offense that has plagued the Sharks all season reared its ugly head once again.

Casey Mittelstadt finally breaks the ice with his 12th goal of the season. The puck squeezed through Kahkonen's arm, and it looked like his defenseman had screened him.

Alex Tuch extends the Sabres lead to two with his 12th goal of the season on the powerplay.

Jordan Greenway added an empty netter in the third period.
