San Jose Sharks prospect Sam Dickinson was named to Hockey Canada's 2024 World Junior Summer Showcase roster.
The London Knights d-man and 2024 11th overall pick is considered one of the most well-rounded defenseman prospects. The Sharks signed Dickinson to his entry-level contract shortly after development camp.
The 18-year-old put up terrific numbers last season in the OHL. He scored 18 goals and 52 assists. Dickinson's iconic moment was his game-tying goal in the Memorial Cup Final after his team was outplayed for most of the game.
Dickinson will have two of his Knights teammates, Philadelphia Flyers prospects Denver Barkey and Oliver Bonk, join him at the summer showcase. Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan, who also plays for the Knights, is on the roster.
The 11th-overall pick likely won't play NHL games this season, but he could feature in a pre-season game before returning to juniors.
