It was an off-day for the San Jose Sharks as they visited the Minnesota Wild, but there is some news.
On Tuesday morning, the Sharks sent forward Collin Graf to the AHL. Graf joins the San Jose Barracuda during their playoff push and, hopefully, the extended postseason run.
Graf has had a good run in the NHL this season, tallying five goals and six assists in 30 games. The Sharks’ prospect has been a regular in the top-six forward group.
Head coach Ryan Warsofsky has also deployed Graf on the penalty kill with Barclay Goodrow. Despite the recent struggles on the kill, Graf has played well for a rookie.
The Barracuda have five games remaining and are tied for fifth in the Pacific Division. Graf could potentially be on a line with 2023 first-round pick Quentin Musty.
Despite not playing a single game for the San Jose Sharks this season, the captain has made some noise. Fans of the Sharks noticed that Couture had unfollowed the Sharks on Instagram. Questions surround the center’s career, making people think he might be announcing something.
