The NHL is announcing 32 players to the All-Star game tomorrow, and the San Jose Sharks should have two players headed to Toronto.
Tomas Hertl is the obvious choice for San Jose. He is the Sharks leading scorer with 28 points (13 goals, 15 assists) in 37 games this season.
He has taken on a leadership role within the locker room and on the ice. He has only been a part of one all-star game in 2020. He had an iconic moment in St. Louis where he impersonated Justin Bieber.

Hertl is the perfect personality to represent the Sharks in Toronto.
"It would mean a lot to me," Hertl said. "Last time, it was fun, and it's a good memory. Now [I] have a family that can come if you make it. It's a great accomplishment if you can make it, and I would be happy to do it."
"I just say I'm all for fun," Hertl said.
Sharks coach David Quinn explained that there wouldn't be anyone better to represent the team in Toronto.
"He's been unbelievable this year in so many ways," Quinn said. "Nobody has played better than him. Nobody's been more positive than him."
Quinn also had kind words about the person Hertl is.
"I don't know if you could coach a more sincere or good a person as he is," Quinn said. "Throw [in] the leadership and the type of player he is, it's people like him why you get into coaching."
Mikael Granlund could be a sneaky second player to be named to the 2024 NHL All-Star game.
Granlund has 25 points (4 goals, 21 assists) in 31 games. He has shown an ability to create highlights with his skill as well.
Granlund had 17 points in 14 games in December, thrusting him into second on the team in points. He has become an offensive leader who plays in all areas of the game. He is one of the Sharks' top penaltykillers as well.
Although Hertl is a more prominent name, Mikael Granlund's play should earn him some consideration for the All-Star Game.
The Toronto Maple Leafs will host this year's festivities from February 1-3. Players like Auston Matthews, Connor McDavid, and Quinn Hughes will headline the weekend.
