After a scary injury during a friendly game between Sweden and Czechia sent Sharks' forward William Eklund to the hospital, the young forward has provided worried fans with an update.

In a heartfelt story on his Instagram, Eklund assured everyone that "everything is fine" and thanked fans for the support.

At this time, his status for the upcoming IIHF World Championship for Team Sweden is in question, but Sharks fans have to be relieved that the freak accident didn't lead to a more serious issue.

Eklund, who is 22 years old, had 58 points in 72 games with the Sharks this season.

As the 2025 World Championship approaches, some teams have been playing friendlies as they warm up in hopes of making a push to win the tournament.
