The Fourth Period updated its trade list, and three members of the San Jose Sharks are listed within the top ten.
Anthony Duclair, Alexander Barabanov, and Mike Hoffman are the candidates most likely to be traded before the March 8th deadline.
Anthony Duclair was ranked the highest at No. 4.
"Duclair is one of four pending UFA forwards on San Jose's roster that will attract trade interest between now and the deadline. He has a solid cap hit and helped the Florida Panthers reach the Stanley Cup Final last season," TFP writes.
The article reports that the Edmonton Oilers, Colorado Avalanche, New York Rangers, and Vegas Golden Knights are interested in acquiring him.
Duclair is currently in Florida, working on a significant project with his foundation. While his play on the ice hasn't been what he or the team wanted, his work in the community has been commendable.
Barabanov is the next Sharks' forward on the list at No. 8.
"The Sharks like Barabanov, who is eligible to become a UFA in July, but will his contract ask be too high for their liking? If that is the case, he will be made available to contenders looking to strengthen their middle-six," TFP writes.
Barabanov's season has been injury-riddled and not nearly what he or the team wanted. There were high expectations on both sides for an uptick in offense.
He missed two months due to a broken finger and recently got injured during the Shark's final game before the All-Star break against the Anaheim Ducks.
Barabanov is linked to the Oilers, Avalanche, and Florida Panthers.
Mike Hoffman is the final Sharks' forward on the list, right behind Barabanov at No. 9.
"Like Duclair, Hoffman will draw interest from teams trying to acquire secondary scoring for a playoff run. With a larger cap hit, though, San Jose might need to retain part of his contract or take back a contract to facilitate a trade," TFP writes.
Hoffman has been inconsistent this season. He has eight goals and ten assists in 49 games this season. Although San Jose likely would've wanted him to score more, which would help his trade value, he's been consistently plugged into the top-six forwards and No. 1 powerplay.
Hoffman likely won't get much of a return, and the Sharks will probably need to retain some of his $4.5 million cap hit.
TFP doesn't list any interested teams at the moment.
