The San Jose Sharks have to shake their lineup up tonight against the Los Angeles Kings as they are missing two key defensemen.
Jan Rutta and Calen Addison didn't participate in the morning skate today, forcing head coach David Quinn to make changes.
Addison's lower-body injury is something that he has been "dealing with," according to Quinn.
"It just flared up," Quinn explained. "He's been getting taken care of, and hopefully, by tonight, he will be able to play."
Unfortunately for San Jose, Addison won't play tonight.
The Sharks are getting Marc-Edouard Vlasic back in the lineup, and he will be paired with Jacob MacDonald.
MacDonald has played forward in every game he's played in this season. He will also run the second powerplay unit.
These changes force left-handed defenseman Henry Thrun to play the right side with Nikita Okhotiuk.
Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m. PST and can be seen on ESPN+/Hulu or the Sharks Audio Network.
