It was his first hat trick in eight years, and it came against the team that drafted him. The place went nuts to see an all-time great have an insane game.

Jumbo Joe would score his 400th career NHL goal with 6:42 left in the third period against the Preds. Not only was it exciting, but it gave the Sharks a lead late in the game.

Sharks fans knew that Jumbo's first instinct was to pass, but this pass was out of this world.
Thornton had eyes in the back of his head, and nobody could believe he found Marleau with that good of a backhand pass.

His MVP season in 2005-2006 was insane. Winning the Hart Trophy and Art Ross trophy the year the Sharks acquired him was a great way to introduce himself to fans.
Thornton played 58 games for SJ and scored 92 points (20 goals, 72 assists). He had 125 points overall that season.

The Sharks defeated their division rivals in game six. This was the biggest goal for Joe Thornton's San Jose Sharks career. The iconic celebration where he slides on his back will never be forgotten.
From his iconic beard commercial with Brent Burns to being a lousy ventriloquist, Joe Thornton was quite the character.
