San Jose Sharks prospect Luca Cagnoni almost scored an unbelievable Michigan goal in the WHL.
Cagnoni's offensive ability as a defenseman is off the charts. In 46 games with the Portland Winterhawks, he has 10 goals and 51 assists. He scored 64 points in 67 games last year.
His terrific season last year helped him get drafted in the fourth round of the 2023 NHL Draft. He's done nothing but improve that this season. While he still needs to develop the defensive side of his game, Sharks fans can get excited about the offensive brilliance Cagnoni looks like he will bring.
Cagnoni will have a lot of work to do to develop the rest of his game due to his size, but his elite skating ability should help him get to the NHL level.
