Cernak did not participate in Morning Skate earlier in the day.
The Tampa Bay Lightning announced Saturday that Defenseman Erik Cernak would be out of the lineup against the New York Islanders after missing a team meeting. He was also absent from Morning Skate earlier in the day.
Haydn Fleury, who has missed the past six games due to a lower-body injury slotted into the lineup for Cernak.
Cernak has 11 points, 61 PIM, 94 blocked shots and 158 hits in 60 appearances this season.
