The Tampa Bay Lightning have added to their prospect pool, signing center Milo Roelens to a three-year, entry-level NHL contract. It will begin during the 2024-25 season.
Roelens, 21, has spent each of the last six seasons in the QMJHL. However, the 6-foot-6 center has taken a big step forward during this campaign with Acadie-Bathurst Titan, posting new career highs in goals (25) and points (62). Now, the undrafted forward has earned an ELC with the Lightning because of it.
Roelens is certainly an interesting prospect, as he is not only producing well offensively in the QMJHL, but he also has size and plays a very gritty game. His 90 penalty minutes effectively display that.
Overall, there is no harm in the Lightning bringing in a prospect like Roelens. It will be intriguing to see how much of an impact he makes for the organization from here.
