Tampa Bay Lightning superstar goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy was pulled after allowing four goals on 14 shots against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday (Oct. 21). This was after Vasilevskiy allowed five goals on 28 shots against the Ottawa Senators on Oct. 19.

Due to back-to-back poor starts, Vasilevskiy now has a .878 save percentage and a 3.14 goals-against average on the season. This is certainly below expectations, as Vasilevskiy is one of the NHL's best goalies when playing at his best. Over these last two games, he has been far from it.

While Vasilevskiy has run into some real trouble, there is no question that he should bounce back from this. The 2012 first-round pick demonstrated his elite skill in his first two starts of the season, as he allowed just two goals on 48 shots. In addition, given all his success in his career, it is hard to believe he can't get things back on track.

Because of this, don't be surprised if Vasilevskiy puts together a big statement game in his next start. While he has had some rough starts, he still has a plethora of time left to heat back up this season.
