According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Tampa Bay Lightning have placed forward Lukas Svejkovsky on unconditional waivers for purposes of contract termination.
Svejkovsky, 22, was acquired by the Lightning back in June from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Bennett MacArthur. Now, after only a few months, Svejkvosky's time with the Bolts organization is already coming to an end.
Svejkovsky appeared in four games this season with the Syracuse Crunch, scoring one goal. In 19 games during the 2023-24 season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, he had two goals and two assists.
