This Lightning prospect is having a big year for the Crunch.
The Tampa Bay Lightning are not necessarily known for sporting one of the NHL's top prospect pools. This is understandable, as they have been big-time buyers for several seasons now and have parted ways with multiple first-round picks because of it.
While this is the case, the Lightning still have some solid prospects, one of which is forward Gage Goncalves. The 6-foot center continues to get better each season, and the 2023-24 campaign, in particular, is proving this. The 23-year-old is having a career year and is not showing any signs of slowing down.

In 62 games this season with the Syracuse Crunch, Golcalves has 11 goals and 52 points. The British Columbia native has taken his offensive game to another level this campaign, as he 13 goals and 54 points in 71 games last season. His pace of production has notably improved, and he should smash the career highs he set last season before this campaign ends.
Goncalves is now a legitimate AHL All-Star, which is quite encouraging for the Bolts. He should have a real shot at being a regular in their lineup next season.
