Tampa Bay Lightning superstar forward Nikita Kucherov has had a season to remember. He is a big-time candidate for the Hart Memorial Trophy and currently leads the NHL in points.
In tonight's matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Kucherov only built on his magical season, as he set a new Lightning franchise record. Due to his two-assist night (so far), Kucherov recorded his 109th point of the season, which is now the most by a player in a single season in Lightning history.
Kucherov, 30, previously set the record during his incredible 2018-19 season. In 82 games during that season, he had 41 goals to go along with 128 points.

This latest accomplishment for Kucherov only improves his case to win the Hart Memorial Trophy. He is having the greatest season in Lightning history, and he has been a significant reason for their success this campaign. It will be intriguing to see how many points he ends the season with from here.
