Bowen took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday evening to share his disappointment with the lack of noise inside Scotiabank Arena for Game 3.
Maple Leafs radio commentator Joe Bowen wasn't happy with how quiet it was inside Scotiabank Arena for Game 3 against the Boston Bruins.
Bowen shared his disappointment on X (formerly Twitter) following the Bruins' 4-2 win over the Maple Leafs on Wednesday night, which saw Boston go up 2-1 over Toronto in the first-round series.
Bowen even discussed how quiet the building was during the radio broadcast in the third period while the Maple Leafs were trying to come back in the game. However, when Toronto head coach Sheldon Keefe was questioned on Thursday afternoon about the lack of noise, he disagreed with Bowen's statement, adding he found it noisy.
"I found it quite loud in there last night and there's a number of times that it's hard to even calling out lines. You've got to scream lines and you've got to kind of move up and down the bench to make sure players are hearing and communicating properly. That was the same in Boston and we experienced that last night as well," Keefe said.

"So from my perspective, I didn't see that as an issue at all. In fact, there were some moments in the game where they got extremely loud, but clearly that's important. It's this time of year, it's hard and there's not much between the teams and the players are given everything that they have. So that extra boost is really important, but that wasn't on my mind at all last night.
"Like I said, if anything, as a coach, your voice and your head is going to pound a little bit because you're screaming for two and a half hours to try to communicate over top of the noise."
