The Canucks played the video on the jumbotron during the first TV timeout against the Maple Leafs.

With William Nylander locked up for the long term, THN's David Alter breaks down what it means for the Toronto Maple Leafs moving forward.

The Vancouver Canucks had fun with the Maple Leafs on the jumbotron Saturday.

During the first TV timeout of the game, Rogers Arena played U.S. President Joe Biden's speech that he made to the Canadian Parliament in March 2023, where he said he likes all the teams in Canada except for Toronto.

"I like your teams except the Leafs," Biden joked in Ottawa.

Following the words from Biden, the Canucks game presentation staff put the "Deal With It" sunglasses on the U.S. President. The video was received well inside Rogers Arena on Saturday night as the crowd cheered and filled the arena with laughter.

When Biden said this in the Canadian Parliament last March, a majority of MPs in the House of Commons stood up, giving the U.S. President a standing ovation.

"I’ll tell you why. They beat the (Philadelphia) Flyers back in January. That’s why," Biden said. "I married a Philly girl. If I didn’t say that, I’d be sleeping alone, fellas. I like you but not that much."

The Maple Leafs would come back from being down 3-0 to Vancouver but would fall to the Canucks after giving up two power-play goals in the third period, losing 6-4.
