The Toronto Maple Leafs have made three new hires to their front office, the team announced on Wednesday. The organization hired Dan Palango as director of amateur scouting, Brad Rossen as vice president of research and development, and JP Perpich as director of U.S. amateur scouting.

This trio of hires comes multiple weeks after the Maple Leafs and GM John Chayka cleared out several staff members from the organization. That includes Dr. Hayley Wickenheiser, Mark Leach, Darryl Metcalf, Dave Morrison and many others.

Palango comes into the Maple Leafs organization with 17 years of amateur scouting experience in the NHL. He's coming off a six-year tenure with the Minnesota Wild, reuniting with Judd Brackett, who is now an assistant GM for Toronto.

Before Palango's time with Minnesota, he spent 11 years with the Vancouver Canucks from 2009-10 to 2019-20.

Rossen joins the Maple Leafs, reuniting with Chayka as they both had a history with the Arizona Coyotes. Coming in as the vice president of research and development, he held the role of director of analytics in Arizona from 2016-17 to 2019-20.

Rossen's only NHL experience was under Chayka with the Coyotes, according to Elite Prospects.

Perpich is also coming over from the Wild. He spent the past five years in Minnesota as a scout, with the amateur scout title for the past four years.

That makes Barckett, Palango and Perpich all newcomers from the Wild, gearing up for their first season with the Maple Leafs this coming campaign.
