With only 52 days until the Utah Mammoth kick off their 2025-26 season against the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena, it is time to look at who has worn jersey number 52 in franchise history.
As mentioned with jersey number 53, there are only 31 combinations for jersey numbers so far since the team just wrapped up their first year in the league. Because of that, the only player to ever wear #52 in Mammoth history is Vladislav Kolyachonok.
Kolyachonok, 24, has appeared in just 74 games at the NHL level. The first three seasons of his career came with the Arizona Coyotes before he joined the Mammoth during their inaugural season in 2024-25.
Last year, he played 23 games with Utah, recording two goals and three assists for five points. Midway through the season, he was placed on waivers and claimed by the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was then dealt to the Dallas Stars this offseason in the Matt Dumba trade.
In his 74 career NHL games, Kolyachonok has totaled four goals and 10 assists for 14 points. He is not likely to be an everyday NHL defenseman, but he projects as a reliable seventh option who can step in when needed.
