Utah Hockey Club's AHL affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners, has been eliminated from the AHL's Calder Cup Playoffs.

This marks the end of the season for them, so now the attention fully turns to the offseason for the Utah organization.

This past weekend, they took on the Vancouver Canucks' AHL affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks, in a best-of-three series, which they lost 2-1.

However, before we turn the page on the season, let's recap the games.

Game 1:

In the first game, the Roadrunners lost 4-3. The game was tied 1-1 heading into the second, where the Canucks scored three goals and Tucson could only score one to fall behind 4-2. In the third, they were able to pull within one but couldn't score another and lost 4-3.

Game 2:

With the series only being best-of-three, this was already a must-win game. The Roadrunners played like it was an elimination game, jumping out to a 3-0 lead by the end of the second. In the third, both teams traded goals, but Tucson took it 4-1 to tie the series and push it to a winner-takes-all Game 3.

Game 3:

The third and final game to decide who moves on to the round of 16. After their showing in Game 2 when their backs were against the wall, you'd think it would be the same for the Roadrunners. But unfortunately, it was the opposite. They didn't score a single goal and were shut out 5-0 to lose the series 2-1.

Although the Roadrunners came up short in the end, at least they won Game 2 to push it to a third and final game.
