Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser has been the unsung hero for the Canucks during an incredible season.

While he has been recognized for having a great season, he still isn't getting the genuine praise that is deserved due to his teammates' outstanding seasons. Boeser and four of his teammates are headed to Toronto for the 2024 NHL All-Star game.

Last night, Boeser once again announced himself as a star in the NHL. He scored his third hat trick this season, including his 30th goal, a career-high.

Boeser beat his career-high of 29 goals this season and did it in 13 fewer games. In the 17-18 season, Boeser scored 29 goals in 62 games. After that season, the league thought he would be a 30-goal scorer in the NHL for years to come.

Whether injuries, poor play, or mental challenges away from hockey, Boeser has found the confidence and swagger that made him a perennial 30-goal scorer.

Boeser's shooting percentage is off the charts this season at 22.4%, but that isn't without some slumps. Before last night, he hadn't scored in six games. The Canucks PDO is ridiculous, but it is working for them.

Head coach Rick Tocchet has unlocked this Canucks offense in a big way. He has also made them responsible defensively. Vancouver had to kill off a major penalty after Tyler Myers was assessed one late in the third period.

While the Canucks PK is at 80%, good enough for 16th in the league, that is a massive improvement from last season's 71.6%, which finished dead last. Tocchet has maximized his team's defensive ability, including Boeser.

Boeser's career-high +/- was +4 in the 2019-20 season. He's on pace to destroy that, as he currently has that mark beaten by 16 at +20.

Boeser has taken on a lot of responsibility as a leader for this Canucks team. While Quinn Hughes, Elias Pettersson, J.T. Miller, & Thatcher Demko get their prases, it is only fitting that Brock Boeser finished the unofficial first half with a special moment last night.
