Thanks to a three-goal third period, the Vancouver Canucks completed their comeback and defeated the Nashville Predators 4-2 in Game 1. While many players had impressive nights, Dakota Joshua, Elias Lindholm and J.T. Miller put together memorable performances in the victory. Here is a recap of their impressive play from Game 1.

    1st Star: Dakota Joshua

The Canucks most impactful player on the night was Joshua. Playing in just his second career playoff game, he had two goals and an assist while also leading the team in hits with six. Joshua also played a role on the penalty kill, limiting the Predators to two shots and zero high-danger chances when he was on the ice. Overall, Joshua was able to step up when Vancouver needed him most and showed he is built for playoff hockey.

    2nd Star: Elias Lindholm

Lindholm was all over the stat sheet in Game 1. He scored the Canucks first goal of the game, threw five hits and went nine for 15 in the faceoff dot. Lindholm was also able to shut down the Filip Forsberg, Ryan O'Reilly, and Gustav Nyquist trio, outscoring Nashville's top line 2-0. Ultimately, Lindholm showed why Vancouver gave up such a large trade package to acquire him, as his defensive play was a crucial part of the Canucks win.

    3rd Star: J.T. Miller

Lastly, Miller dominated while on the ice. Miller finished the night with an assist and four hits while also going 15 for 25 in the faceoff dot. While on the ice at even strength, Vancouver had a 10-5 shot advantage while also outscoring the Predators 2-0. One of the Canucks emotional leaders all season, he stepped up in a big way and helped lead Vancouver to their first win at Rogers Arena since 2015.
