Bob Frid-USA TODAY Sports - Elias Lindholm Ready To Bring Playoff Experience To Canucks

Vancouver Canucks center Elias Lindholm is one of the few players who has playoff experience, and he is sharing his knowledge with the rest of the team.

His most significant piece of advice for his teammates was to not take anything for granted.

"It's just don't take anything for granted," Lindholm said. "I think this group has done a really good job so far during the regular season. You don't get too many opportunities, so you got to enjoy it, embrace it and take advantage while the chances are there."

Playing playoff hockey in a Canadian market is also a different animal. Lindholm's time with the Calgary Flames should help him know what to expect.

"It was a lot of fun in Calgary. A lot of people support you," Lindholm said. "It's bigger than you think. In here, it's hopefully going to be electric, but at the same time, you don't really see what's going on throughout the city. It's been a while since the crowd here saw some playoff games. It will be a lot of fun."

The Vancouver Canucks haven't played a playoff home game with fans in front of them since 2015.

The fans' and players' emotions for tonight's game will be high, and Lindholm's experience controlling them will be helpful.

"A lot of guys are going to be really fired up. It's all about not getting too fired up and finding that nice level where you can control your emotions and still play your game and not be too carried away," he explained. "Game one is usually not a lot of plays and more of a grind, but usually throughout the series, it settles down."

Game one against the Nashville Predators is tonight at 7 p.m.
