Just like 2011, the Vancouver Canucks can end their series against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena in Game 6.

Vancouver Canucks Round 1, Game 6 Preview, 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Just like in 2011, the Vancouver Canucks have a chance to advance in Game 6 as they travel to Bridgestone Arena to face the Nashville Predators. The Canucks are 5-0 all-time in Nashville during the playoffs, which includes winning both previous games this year. With a win, Vancouver would advance to the second round, where the Edmonton Oilers are currently waiting for them.

While the Canucks played a strong game on Wednesday, they struggled in the offensive zone, only scoring once against Juuse Saros on 20 shots. It was another frustrating game as Vancouver missed the net 18 times as they were trying to set up the perfect play rather than just get pucks on the net. The missed shots have been a talking point all series and need to be a focus for the Canucks heading into Game 6.

The other problematic area has been the power play. Going 0-2 in Game 5, Vancouver is now 2-13 with the man advantage. The power play's inefficiency has already cost them games this series and needs to find a way to return to form if the Canucks have eyes on a long run.

Players to Watch

Brock Boeser

The last time these two teams played in Nashville, Brock Boeser had a game to remember. Boeser scored a hat trick which included the game-tying goal with eight seconds remaining. If he can put forward a similar performance, it will go a long way in pushing Vancouver to the second round.

Filip Forsberg

Filip Forsberg has arguably been the Predators' best player in this series. He leads the team in points with six and is the only player with multiple goals. With his season on the line, the Canucks expect the 48-goal scorer to be on his game as he looks to send the series to a Game 7.
