Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko finished second in voting for the Vezina Trophy behind Connor Hellebuyck.

After a phenomenal season, Thatcher Demko finished as the runner-up for the 2024 Vezina Trophy. Demko received 70 points, while the winner, Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, finished with 158. Demko is the third goaltender in franchise history to be nominated for the Trophy and joining Roberto Luongo and Kirk McLean, who both finished in second place during their Canucks careers.
The 2023-24 campaign was a special one for Demko. He posted career highs in wins, save percentage, goals against and shutouts. Demko was also voted to the 2024 All-Star Game, where he was part of Team Hughes.
Demko was almost unbeatable during his 51 games this season. He became the fifth active goaltender to reach the 30-win mark in 40 games or fewer and the first in Canucks history. Demko also hit the 100-win mark for his career this season, finishing the season in fourth place on the franchise all-time list with 116.
