In Vancouver's first game of the 2026-27 season, Brock Boeser has reached a career milestone.
Brock Boeser has reached a milestone in the Vancouver Canucks' first game of the 2026-27 season, officially entering the top-10 in franchise history in power play points with his 166th against the Edmonton Oilers tonight. His assist on Elias Pettersson’s power-play goal tonight puts him ahead of J.T. Miller (165).
After a bit of a slow period at the start of the 2025–26 season, Boeser jumped back up to 20-goal status with 22 goals and 26 assists in 75 games. He finished the year fourth on the Canucks in power play points with six goals and 13 assists. Only Jake DeBrusk (24), Elias Pettersson (22), and Filip Hronek (21) had more.
This is not the first milestone Boeser has achieved in this calendar year. The forward claimed sole possession of eighth in franchise history in points scored by a Canuck with 479, though he is now up to 483. He is also one goal away from taking sole-possesion of fifth all-time in power play goals in franchise history with 80.
The next player on Vancouver’s all-time power play points list is fellow Canuck Elias Pettersson, who currently has 173 power play points through his career. Alex Edler (177), Stan Smyl (181), and Tony Tanti (185) round out the remainder of the list before the top-five.
