Reports have come out that the Vancouver Canucks are aggressively trying to trade for Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jake Guentzel.
Yesterday, a report emerged suggesting Elias Lindholm could be moved to the Boston Bruins to acquire assets and space for Guentzel.
With the New York Rangers seemingly closing in on Seattle Kraken center Alex Wennberg, they look to be out of the running for the Penguins winger. Teams like the Vegas Golden Knights, Carolina Hurricanes, and the Canucks look to be the remaining teams in the race for Guentzel.
The Penguins want a deal done by this evening, so news of a Guentzel trade could come at any moment.
The Canucks will have to give up prospects to get the deal done, but there is an expectation they don't want to give up Tom Willander or Jonathan Lekkerimäki.
