A list of celebrity Canucks fans and those who made an appearance at Rogers Arena this year.
Celebrities are beloved by many for their music, films, or other media that make them famous. But just like us, they also love the thrill of sports. Many are aware of Justin Bieber’s love for the Toronto Maple Leafs or Will Ferrell’s shenanigans at Crypto.com Arena. Still, some of the most passionate celebrity sports fandom may come from the Vancouver Canucks. Here are some die-hard celebrity Canucks fans, as well as some big names who were spotted at Rogers Arena this past season.

Based in Vancouver, Cathcart first garnered attention for her performance as Kitty Song Covey in the film adaptation of the book To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, which came out in 2018. In the following two films, she reprised her role and later starred in her character’s own Netflix series, XO, Kitty. This past season, she was spotted at the All-Star Game wearing the merchandise of her hometown team, the Vancouver Canucks.

Hadwin is a Canadian professional golfer whose win record includes one on the PGA Tour, two on the Web.com Tour, and two on the Canadian Tour. Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Hadwin now resides in Abbotsford, British Columbia. He can be seen supporting the Vancouver Canucks and, on occasion, even golfing with some of them.
BBNO$, a Vancouver-based rapper, is best known for his 2019 hit “Lalala.” His discography also includes the 2021 track “Edamame” and the 2024 track “Lil’ Freak.” He’s made a few appearances at Rogers Arena over the years, one of which included a performance from this season. As a Canucks fan, he’s been seen hanging out with Elias Pettersson as well as pressing a few buttons in the team’s pre-game intro video.
As the lead singer of Nickelback, Canada’s most unfairly controversial band (why do people hate them again?), Kroeger’s twangy voice can be heard on popular tracks like “Rockstar” and “How You Remind Me.” While Kroeger is good friends with Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid, Kroeger has made his share of appearances at Rogers Arena alongside many other celebrities.

Smulders is yet another Vancouver local who has made their name within the film industry. She previously starred in the Canucks’ pre-game intro video for the 2022-2023 regular season and has also made references to her favourite team in her various TV appearances.
Known predominantly for his role as Mike Wheeler in the Netflix show Stranger Things, Wolfhard is from Vancouver and has been seen supporting his hometown team by visiting Rogers Arena. The young actor also makes music and recently performed in Atlanta and Birmingham.

There are very few people in Vancouver who don’t know who Kevin James is, despite the fact that the actor is not from BC. Here Comes the Boom, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, and Grown Ups are just a few of the titles that the American comedian and actor is known for. James is shooting his next movie, Playdate, in Vancouver — during his time here, he’s been seen at a variety of Canucks games (even one row above Chad Kroeger at one point).
Let’s face it; there are no other celebrities who could match the amount of fandom that Michael Bublé feels for his hometown Vancouver Canucks. The Burnaby-based crooner and Christmas legend has been vastly outspoken about his support for the Canucks, as seen in his appearance on various hockey talk shows. When he’s not cheering on his team, fans can catch him singing Christmas carols at Canuck Place or drafting NHL players onto his own All-Star team.
Most noted for his role in Zoolander as the male model Hansel, Wilson is yet another face who is easily recognizable to the general crowd. Like James, he’s also been in Vancouver for the past little while, as he has been working on an unnamed golf comedy series that has been shooting here. He made an appearance at the Canucks’ last game of the postseason against the Edmonton Oilers.
Hailing from Kitsilano, the Deadpool actor has long been recognized as one of Vancouver’s beloved homegrown celebrities. An evident hockey fan, he’d been in the running to buy the Ottawa Senators from the Melynk family, but his group dropped out of the bidding somewhat early into the process. Reynolds has also appeared in a few of the Canucks’ in-game hype videos.
