Vancouver Canucks prospect Aiden Celebrini and Boston University are heading to their second-straight Beanpot championship game. After taking fellow Canucks prospect Matthew Perkins and Northeastern University down by a score of 3–2 in the shootout, Celebrini and the Terriers will face Boston College for a chance at their second-straight Beanpot trophy.
In the game that sent the Terriers to the Beanpot, Celebrini registered one shot on goal, while Jonathan Morello (Boston Bruins) and Nick Roukounakis scored BU’s two goals. Cole Hutson (Washington Capitals) scored the shootout goal that ultimately won the game for the Terriers. Dylan Hryckowian and Jacob Mathieu scored for Northeastern, while Perkins registered two shots on goal.
This is the second consecutive time that Boston University will face Boston College at the Beanpot, as last year, BU took down BC by a score of 4–1. Celebrini was also a member of this team, as was fellow Canuck Tom Willander, though only the latter skated in this particular game. Prior to last year’s championship, the Terriers last won the Beanpot in 2022.
The 2026 Beanpot championship game takes place on February 9 at 4:30 pm PT, while the third-place game will be played at 1:30 pm PT. Both games will be hosted at TD Garden in Boston.
