Boston College has officially received their revenge against Boston University, as the Eagles have won the 2026 Beanpot after beating the Terriers by a score of 6-2. Vancouver Canucks prospect Aiden Celebrini, a member of the Terriers, was one of two of the organization's prospects to take part in the tournament.
In the Terriers' 6-2 defeat, Celebrini recorded a shot on goal as well as one block. Brandon Svoboda scored the game's opening goal, though the Eagles put four on the Terriers before BU could answer back. Three of those four goals were scored on BC's power play.
This is the second consecutive time the Eagles and Terriers have faced one-another in the Beanpot Finals, as last year, Celebrini and the Terriers defeated the Eagles by a score of 4-1. Fellow Canucks prospect Tom Willander was also part of the Terriers' roster at the time.
As mentioned, Celebrini was not the only Canucks prospect to take part in this tournament. In the round before, the Terriers defeated Matthew Perkins and Northeastern University by a score of 3-2 in the shootout to advance to the championship game. Today, Perkins and Northeastern lost to Harvard by a score of 4-1 in the third-place game, with the Canucks prospect registering three shots on goal during this match.
