Patrik Allvin has been GM of the Vancouver Canucks since 2022.

The Vancouver Canucks have reportedly fired General Manager Patrik Allvin. The report of the firing came from Thomas Rose of the Swedish site Aftonbladet. Allvin has been the General Manager of the Canucks since January 26, 2022 and was the first Swedish GM in NHL history.

Vancouver played 368 regular-season games while Allvin was GM. During his tenure, the Canucks posted a 173-150-45 record. As for the playoffs, Vancouver qualified only once, in 2024.

As for this season, it went off the rails for the Canucks. Vancouver finished with the worst record in the league and will have the best odds of selecting first overall heading into the draft lottery. On top of finishing 32nd, the Canucks made some significant moves, which included trading away captain Quinn Hughes.
