Legendary Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo finally gets his day with the Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers.
Luongo is a special advisor to the Panthers' General Manager. He won his first Stanley Cup and had his name engraved in history with the team he spent 11 years playing for.
The netminder started his day in St. Léonard, QC, at the house he grew up in. He brought the cup to his dad's garden and his original bedroom.
It was only fitting for the Canucks legend to bring it to an arena named after himself.
Luongo involved the rest of his family in a first-time day with the Stanley Cup activity. Luongo and crew ate gnocchi poutine directly from the top.
The Canucks legend played 1,044 NHL games and wasn't able to win the cup, but at long last, in his second hockey career, Luongo got his day.
