Marcus Pettersson was the lone Canuck to take part in Saturday’s games, as he and Team Sweden played in the second half of a back-to-back to start the tournament. Yesterday, he and Sweden crushed Slovakia with a 5–0 victory. Today, they added to their tournament point totals by defeating Austria 4–2. With the win, Sweden is now at the top of Group A with two wins and all six of their possible points collected.

Pettersson had another solid game, building off his two-assist game from the day before. While he didn’t register a point, he had three shots on net and logged a higher ice time than yesterday with 19:29 played. He had the third-highest ice time on the team after the first period, playing 7:04 of the opening 20 minutes. Only Rasmus Andersson (8:11) and Alexander Wennberg (7:30) played more than him.
