The NHL is returning to the Olympics and an NHL 4 Nations face-off tournament will be held in 2025 so we take a look at which Vegas Golden Knights could be participating.

The NHL hasn't sent their players to play in the Winter Olympics since 2014 but on Friday it was announced that the world will finally get their best on best tournament in both 2026 and 2030.

    Jack Eichel

Jack Eichel is a guarantee to represent the USA at the 4 Nations tournament and in the 2026 Olympics. Eichel will be 33 years old when the 2030 Olympics takes place and will still likely make the roster but it might not be an automatic selection. Eichel has represented the US at every level and won a gold medal at the U-18's.

    Shea Theodore

Shea Theodore would play a large role on the Canadian blue line in the 2025 4 Nations tournament and the Olympics. Theodore could be considered the number two defenseman on Team Canada. Theodore might age out of the 2030 Olympics. He would be 34 during the tournament.

    Mark Stone

Mark Stone is one of the best defensive forwards in the NHL and Team Canada loves to use a good checking line in these tournaments. Stone would likely participate in both the 2025 4 Nations tournament and the 2026 Olympics. Stone will be 33 during the 2026 Olympics but his playstyle will allow him to play at a top level despite his age.

    Alex Pietrangelo

Alex Pietrangelo might not play at the same level as he did in the 2014 Olympics but with the limited options for the Canadian defense core, Pietrangelo could find his way onto the roster as a depth option. His experience playing in the 2014 Olympics will play a factor in the decision.

    Adin Hill

Adin Hill has only represented Canada once in his career, at the 2021 World Championships. He played three games and won a gold medal. Hill would have never been considered to be an option for Canada previously but with his strong play in the last two seasons and Canada not having many options, Hill could find himself not only on the roster but possibly as the starter.

    William Karlsson

William Karlsson is 31 years old and has represented Sweden at every level. He's won gold medals at both the World Championship and the World Juniors. Karlsson would be a veteran presence for Sweden and would serve as a bottom-six centre.

    Players with a chance

Jonathan Marchessault and Logan Thompson would be on the outside looking in but could have a chance if they are having big seasons during the 2025 and 2026 seasons. Thompson's chances are greater when you factor in the limited goaltender depth on Team Canada. Ivan Barbashev would likely find a spot on the Russian team but with Russia currently banned from tournaments, Barbashev won't be competing in the Olympics.
