The Vegas Golden Knights score four consecutive goals en route to win.
Jack Eichel scored his 500th career NHL point and added point No. 501 with a pair of goals in a 4-2 Vegas Golden Knights victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Ivan Barbashev and Pavel Dorofeyev also scored. Shea Theodore and Chandler Stephenson each had two assists. Adin Hill made 13 saves, before leaving the game with an undisclosed injury. Logan Thompson made six saves in relief.
The win improved Vegas to 38-25-7.
“It’s just good to get some points at home,” Eichel said. “Defensively, our game is trending in the right direction. For the most part, I liked our defensive game. We were limiting the other team’s chances. We did some good things in the offensive zone as well. The first period wasn’t our best, but through the second and third, we were able to generate some offensive chances.”
Columbus went up 1-0 after the first period, but Barbashev tied the game, collecting his own rebound and scoring to make it 1-1.
Eichel scored his first of the game 86 seconds later, one-timing a rebound from a Zach Whitecloud shot.
Dorofeyev made it 3-1 with some impressive puck handling to skate around Daniil Tarasov.
Eichel scored his second of the game on the power play, before Columbus added a goal with seconds remaining on the clock.
