Forward has appeared in 125 career NHL games.
Byron Froese sat in front of his makeshift locker, which was essentially a shelf that allowed him to put his gear up.
It didn’t matter to Froese. He’s just glad to be back with the Golden Knights.
“I’ll take anything to get into this room,” he said. “It’s definitely crowded. It’s been a crazy year for them.”
Froese was called up from the Henderson Silver Knights on Saturday, filing the center void left by Jack Eichel’s injury.
He is slated to play on the fourth line alongside Jonas Rondbjerg and Keegan Kolesar.
“It feels good to be back and get this opportunity again,” Froese said. “I just want to kind of build off of what I was doing last year. Play solid defensively, gain momentum in the O-zone, hold pucks and be heavy and win faceoffs. All those things.”
Rondbjerg played along side Froese in Henderson, so the two have some chemistry to build off.
“He's consistent, heavy centerman, so it's gonna be good,” Rondbjerg said.
