The Vegas Golden Knights (29-14-6) will be in Detroit to take on the Red Wings (25-18-5) in the final game of their four-game Eastern Conference road trip.
The Golden Knights are coming off a huge win against the Metropolitan division-leading, New York Rangers. The Golden Knights were heavily outshot in the first and third period but a stellar performance from Adin Hill was enough to secure the two points.
Jonathan Marchessault continues his strong play, recording a hat-trick and extending his point streak to six games.
The Golden Knights' injury report may be adding another after Pavel Dorofeyev took an elbow up high from the Rangers captain Jacob Trouba.
Trouba will be having a hearing with the Department of Player Safety today. Dorofeyev is currently listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
If Dorofeyev is unable to play, Michael Amadio has been cleared to play against the Red Wings. Amadio has missed the last five games with an upper-body injury.
This is the first of two matchups against the Red Wings this season. The Red Wings come into this game with a 7-2-1 record in their last ten games. The Red Wings are currently fifth in the Atlantic Division but hold the second-place wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.
