Vegas looks to avenge Winter Classic shutout against Seattle Kraken.

The Vegas Golden Knights look to build off their 5-3 victory against the Detroit Red Wings with another one against the Seattle Kraken.

Vegas sits with 75 points (34-23-7) and holds the second wild card spot in the Western Conference.

“We’re trying to build off what we did the other night. It’s been a while for us since we played good, consistent hockey,” Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. “That’s how I’m looking at it for us. Let’s keep building off the things we did well the other night.”

Brett Howden is expected back in the lineup tonight and joins Chandler Stephenson and Anthony Mantha on the second line.

Zach Whitecloud, who left Saturday’s game with a lower-body injury, looks to be in the lineup, joining his usual partner Nicolas Hague.

Seattle looks to get back into the playoff picture. The Kraken are eight points back of Vegas and a win would be vital in their hopes to make the playoffs for the second year in a row.

“They have their motivation. They have to keep up (in the standing),” Cassidy said. “So we know we’re going to get their best.”
