The Vegas Golden Knights welcome back Jack Eichel when they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets in the final game of their Eastern Conference road trip.
After missing 19 consecutive games, the Golden Knights will have their highest-paid player back in the lineup. Eichel will help the team both offensively and defensively, something they have been struggling with since the all-star break.
Eichel will slot in between Ivan Barbashev and Jonathan Marchessault, a line that proved to be very effective in the playoffs last season.
The Golden Knights are 1-2-1 on their five-game road trip and desperately need a win against a Blue Jackets team that sits in 29th place in the NHL.
The Blue Jackets are missing key three forwards in Adam Fantili, Kent Johnson and Patrik Laine, who's been in the NHL's Player Assistance Program.
This is the first matchup between the Golden Knights and the Blue Jackets. The Golden Knights won both games in the 2022-23 season.
Adin Hill is the projected starter after Logan Thompson was in net against the Buffalo Sabres.
