The Vegas Golden Knights continue their road trip as they take on the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night.
This matchup has been very intense over the years because of the trade that took place. Jack Eichel had a herniated disk in his neck and two possible surgeries were available for him. Eichel and the Sabres disagreed on which surgery. The disconnect between the teams grew and eventually, Eichel was traded to the Golden Knights.
Alex Tuch and Peyton Krebs who are now on the Sabres were a part of the deal and will be in the lineup tonight. Eichel is still recovering from his knee surgery and will be out of the lineup once again.
The Golden Knights are coming off of a tough loss against the Boston Bruins. They fell behind 3-0 and stormed back to eventually tie the game at 4-4. The Bruins got a power play late in the third and Mason Lohrei scored the game-winner.
The Sabres are having another disappointing season. The team and the fans had expectations of making the playoffs and at this point, it's almost a certainty that they will fall short.
The Golden Knights dropped the first matchup against the Sabres 5-2. The Sabres scored four unanswered goals in the third period to win that game.
