Logan Thompson makes 30 saves in shutout of San Jose Sharks, complete season sweep.
Mason Morelli, who was making his NHL debut, scored with an assist and Logan Thompson made 30 saves as the Vegas Golden Knights shut out the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center on Monday.
"Logan was composed in there. He made a lot of good saves and controlled rebounds," Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. "He was able to put out fires without second or third chances."
Michael Amadio, William Karlsson, and Keegan Kolesar also scored, while Alec Martinez had three assists for the Golden Knights, who improved to 32-17-6.
Amadio opened the scoring at 2:28 of the first period, then Karlsson made it 2-0 at the 4:25 mark of the first.
Morelli scored on the power play at 19:12, while Kolesar capped the scoring with a goal at 18:44 in the second period.
"It was a special moment. My family was here," Morelli said. "I got the see the replay with my family too and that was hard to put into words, it's pretty special."
