Golden Knights Reportedly Interested In Sharks Forward
According to The Fourth Period, the Vegas Golden Knights are reportedly interested in San Jose Sharks forward Anthony Duclair.
After a couple of trades last week, The Fourth Period updated his trade list and listed Duclair at number four, with interest from the Golden Knights, Edmonton Oilers, Colorado Avalanche and the New York Rangers.
Duclair is 28 years old and has just nine goals and 17 points in 46 games this year but he was a valuable middle six forward for the Florida Panthers in their playoff run last season. Duclair scored four goals and had 11 points while averaging two shots per game.
The Golden Knights are currently outside the top 10 in multiple offence categories including goals per game, shots on goal per game, power play percentage and shooting percentage. Duclair would help improve in these categories and would provide a Golden Knights team with depth up front. Duclair is one of the fastest players in the league and does a lot of his offensive damage in transition.
Duclair's possible addition would also help the Golden Knights get through the massive injury wave they are currently dealing with.
Duclair is in the final year of a three-year, $3 million deal and would be a UFA at the end of the season.
