Nicolas Roy extends point streak to five games, as Golden Knights stop Oilers' streak at 16.

Adin Hill made 31 saves as the Vegas Golden Knights ended the Edmonton Oilers' 16-game winning streak with a 3-1 victory on Tuesday at T-Mobile Arena.
“I wasn't really focused on [the streak]. I mean, they're hot over there, and they had won however many in a row,” Hill said. “I was more focused on just playing our game tonight and trying to get two points. I mean, it's a big rivalry, and for us to do it with a couple guys that were missing in our lineup is huge.”
The Golden Knights improved to 30-15-6 and have won six of their last eight games.
After Connor McDavid scored to make it 1-0 with a shorthanded goal, the Golden Knights took a little bit of time to answer.
Nicolas Roy backhanded an Alex Pietrangelo rebound to tie the game at 1 at 18:06 of the first period.
The teams battled to a scoreless second period, before Chandler Stephenson's one-timer at 1:24 of the third period broke the tie.
Karlsson then scored the empty-net goal at 19:27 to seal the game.
“At the end of the day, it's two points for us. That's how we get to look at it,” Karlsson said. “I'm sure they're bummed because they could have written history. I know the feeling actually because I was with Columbus back in the day when we had that [16-game win streak] going. It was a bummer whenever we lost.”
