Owen Sound Attack prospect Alexander Lisi is this week’s GOHL Prospect of the Week (POTW).
Lisi is the second Chatham Maroons player to earn GOHL POTW honors this season. His teammate, Gensen Geldart, won the award back in week six.
The Maroons thumped the Waterloo Siskins last Friday, where Lisi recorded a season-high five points (1 goal, 4 assists). Waterloo and Chatham had a rematch two days later on Sunday, which was a tighter checking game, finishing in a 2-1 shootout victory for the Maroons. Lisi didn’t register a point on his team’s lone tally, but he did score the shootout winner.
The 2009-born forward played on the Sun County Panthers last season in the U16 Alliance division in Ontario. He was teammates with Guelph’s second-overall pick, Jaakko Wycisk, and Barrie Colts forward Eamon Edgar. That ‘09 Panthers squad won back-to-back Alliance championships in their age group.
Lisi was drafted 128th overall in the seventh-round of the 2025 OHL Priority Selection by Owen Sound. He will be at the 2026 GOHL Top Prospect Game in Peterborough on Jan. 13, playing for Team Scheifele.
The 16-year-old forward currently ranks sixth in U17 scoring in the GOHL with 30 points (12 goals, 18 assists).
