Max Lappan and Aiden Kelly have taken home some gold before attending OHL camps next week

The 2026 U17 Four Nations tournament has come and gone, with a pair of top signed OHLers taking home a gold medal with team USA, alongside a handful of other OHL draft picks signed to the roster.

Max Lappan, drafted 9th overall by Niagara, and Aiden Kelly, drafted 20th overall by Brantford, won gold at this tournament, winning 5-4 in the gold medal game over host Czechia.

Kelly scored the shootout winning goal in the final, and was one of the leading goal scorers for the U.S. in the tournament. Lappan didn't have any points, but played in all four games on the blue line.

Lappan is coming off a huge season as the captain of the Honeybaked 15U program, scoring 24 goals and 108 assists 89 AAA games as a defenseman last season, which garnered him a ton of OHL draft hype. Kelly played for Little Caesers, scoring 35 (14+21) points in 20 games at the 15U level.

With OHL camps starting soon, both of these players will come in with some good momentum looking to make a splash in their rookie years in the league.

Additionally, seven other OHL draft picks, who are still unsigned, represented the U.S. at this tournament, including Rylan Aufderheide (Sudbury), Dylan Delgado (Peterborough), Austin Hall (Owen Sound), Chase Pastor (Sarnia), Christopher Pinko (London), Jack Riehl (Owen Sound) and Benjamin Slavick (Ottawa).
