    Last night's game notes

    Rouyn-Noranda (5) - Cape Breton (6) - OT

The Huskies and the Eagles kicked off the night.

Despite being outshot 44-30, the Eagles sealed the deal in overtime thanks to a goal from centerman Luke Patterson. Recently acquired centerman Joey Henneberry had himself a two-point night -- bringing his stats to 10 points (5+5) over eight games since joining the Eagles. He wasn't the only team's recent add to pot two as left winger Dylan Andrews got his first two points as a member of the Eagles last night in the form of a goal and an assist. Finally, right winger Lucas Romeo was able to pot two goals.

As for the Huskies, 2026 NHL Draft eligible right winger Lars Steiner (1+1), overager left winger Antonin Verreault (0+3), overage defenseman Ty Higgins (1+1), centerman Thomas Verdon (0+2) and left winger Nathan Langlois (1+1) had big nights. Additionally, left winger Benjamin Brunelle had a massive night, scoring three points including his first goal of the season.

The Eagles also had the most packed barn of the night, with 2317 fans in attendance.

    Gatineau (3) - Victoriaville (4)

The Tigres/Olympiques game saw yet another game where the losing team heavily outscored the winners, with the Tigres only throwing 22 shots on net to Gatineau's 45. It's clear that the play of 2025 NHL Draft eligible goaltender Gabriel D'Aigle kept the Tigres in the game as he stopped 42 of 45 for the win -- and even assisted on a goal. Apart from that, centerman Thomas Gagnon had a decent night as he scored a goal and an assist.

On the other side, Olympiques point leader RW Jeremie Minville added two more (1+1) -- bringing his totals to 20 on the year -- and centerman Charles Pigeon scored his first career QMJHL goal.

    Drummondville (4) - Sherbrooke (3)

Yet again, the losers outscored the winners with Sherbrooke taking 39 shots on Riley Mercer, who stopped 36. Captain Luke Woodworth extends his goal streak to three games after starting the season on an 11 game drought -- he also added an assist tonight as well.

Meanwhile, left winger Maxime Cote (1+1) and 2026 NHL Draft eligible right winger Thomas Rousseau (1+1) had particularly strong games for the Phoenix.
