    The Gatineau Olympiques announced yesterday that they have placed left winger Justin Dumais on waivers.

    Dumais, 18, has two points (2+0) over 11 games with the Olympiques to start his 2024-25 season after putting up 23 points (9+14) over 66 games last season.

    He was originally acquired by the Olympiques before last season from the Moncton Wildcats who had originally drafted him for a 2025 fifth round pick.

    He is the brother of Columbus Blue Jackets prospect and former QMJHL point leader Jordan Dumais.

    This is the most recent of a number of moves by Olympiques general manager Serge Beausoleil after the team looks to recover from a disasterous start to the season -- going 2-10-0 over their first 12 games.
