The Gatineau Olympiques announced yesterday that they have placed left winger Justin Dumais on waivers.

Dumais, 18, has two points (2+0) over 11 games with the Olympiques to start his 2024-25 season after putting up 23 points (9+14) over 66 games last season.

This is the most recent of a number of moves by Olympiques general manager Serge Beausoleil after the team looks to recover from a disasterous start to the season -- going 2-10-0 over their first 12 games.

Other moves the team have made over the past two weeks include:

  • Re-acquiring overager Julien Paille from Baie-Comeau
  • Cutting overage defenseman Emeric Gaudet
  • Parting ways with overage left winger Nathan Levesque
  • Signing overager and former OHL defenseman Taos Jordan
  • Acquiring goaltender Nathan St-Pierre from Blainville
