While there was only one game on Sunday night, it did not disappoint as the Saskatoon Blades defeated the Red Deer Rebels 2-1 in overtime. Each second-round series is now two games deep, with only the Swift Current Broncos and Moose Jaw Warriors featuring split. Here is a recap of the Blades and Rebels game from April 14.

    Series: Saskatoon Leads 2-0

Ben Saunderson's heroics in overtime led Saskatoon to a 2-1 overtime victory over Red Deer in Game 2 of their second-round series. Saunderson was named the game's first star after recording a goal and an assist while also finishing the night with three shots on net. The real star of the game, however, was Rebels goaltender Chase Wutzke, who stopped 47 of 49 shots. Witzke sits second in the WHL playoffs with 232 saves and was the reason Red Deer was able to push the game to overtime tonight. As for Evan Gardner, he stopped 24 of 25 and has now won 15 straight games.
