    Tuesday night saw six Game 3's take place across the WHL. In an exciting night of WHL action, three teams took 3-0 series leads while two games were decided in overtime. Here is a recap of the six games from Apr. 2.

    Swift Current Broncos 5, Lethbridge Hurricanes 3
    Series: Swift Current Leads 3-0

    Luke Mistelbacher's hat trick led the way as the Swift Current Broncos defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-3. Swift Current got multi-point efforts from Josh Filmon, Owen Pickering, Clarke Caswell and Conor Geekie as the Broncos left with the win and a 3-0 series lead. As for Lethbridge, they received a two-point night from Sean Tschigerl, while Noah Chadwick had an assist and five shots. With the victory, Swift Current has a chance to move on to the second round as early as tomorrow, when the two teams will meet again in Game 4. 

    Saskatoon Blades 4, Prince Albert Raiders 3 (OT)
    Series: Saskatoon Leads 2-1

    Easton Armstrong was the hero as his hat trick goal less than 30 seconds into overtime propelled the Saskatoon Blades to a 4-3 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders. The Blades also received a strong performance from captain Trevor Wong who recorded a goal and the primary assists on the overtime winner. For the Raiders, it was Ryder Ritchie who led the way with a goal and an assist, while Max Hildebrand made 31 saves in the loss.

    Red Deer Rebels 4, Medicine Hat Tigers 3 (OT)
    Series: Red Deer Leads 2-1

    For the second time in this series, the Red Deer Rebels needed overtime to defeat the Medicine Hat Tigers. The Game 3 hero was rookie Samuel Drancak, whose first career playoff point led the Rebels to a 4-3 win and a 2-1 series lead. The Rebels also received a strong night from Carson Latimer, who had a goal and an assist, while Gavin McKenna recorded two assists for the Tigers in the loss. 

    Prince George 4, Spokane Chiefs 2
    Series: Prince Geroge Leads 3-0

    The Prince George Cougars' power play was the difference as they took a 3-0 series lead over the Spokane Chiefs thanks to a 4-2 Game 3 victory. Zac Funk led the way with two goals and two assists, while Ondrej Becher continued his strong start to the postseason with two assists. On the Chiefs' side, Ty Cheveldayoff scored his first career playoff goal, while Cooper Michaluk made 29 saves in the loss. 

    Portland Winterhawks 6, Victoria Royals 5
    Series: Portland Leads 3-0

    Despite a late push by the Victoria Royals, the Portland Winterhawks held on for a 6-5 win and a 3-0 series lead. James Stefan lit the lamp three times and added an assist, while Luca Cagnoni recorded three assists in the victory. For the Royals, Nate Misskey led the way with two assists, while Tyson Laventure had a goal and an assist and was tied for the team lead with five shots on net. 

    Kelowna Rockets 5, Wenatchee Wild 1
    Series: Kelowna Leads 2-1

    In Kelowna, the Rockets overcame an early 1-0 deficit to beat the Wenatchee Wild 5-1 and take a 2-1 series lead. Tij Iginla scored twice while Jari Kykkanen held down the fort, stopping 31 of the 32 shots he faced. For the Wild, it was once again Briley Wood who provided the offence, scoring his fifth of the series and recording his WHL-leading eighth point of the postseason.
