
Three teams tied up their series on Saturday night.

Day three of the 2024 WHL playoff saw 14 teams in action. Three teams were able to tie their series at one, while four others took a commanding 2-0 lead after Saturday's action. Here is a recap of all seven games from Mar. 30.
Swift Current Broncos 4, Lethbridge Hurricanes 3
Series: Swift Current Leads 2-0
After trailing by one heading into the third period, the Swift Current Broncos scored three unanswered goals en route to a 4-3 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Connor Hvidston led the way for the Broncos with a goal and an assist, while Conor Geekie's empty netter served as the winner. As for Lethbridge, Leo Braillard stood out with a goal and an assist, while Harrison Meneghin stopped 32 of 35 shots he faced in the loss.
Moose Jaw Warriors 5, Brandon Wheat Kings 4 (OT)
Series: Moose Jaw Leads 2-0
Lynden Lakovic was the hero as the Moose Jaw Warriors defeated the Brandon Wheat Kings 5-4 in overtime. For the Warriors, it was Atley Calvert who led the way with a goal and two assists, while Lucas Brenton chipped in with two assists. On the Brandon side, Roger McQueen stepped up with two goals, while Rylen Roersma had a goal and an assist in the overtime defeat.

Medicine Hat Tigers 3, Red Deer Rebels 1
Series: Tied 1-1
After a tough overtime loss the night prior, the Medicine Hat Tigers were able to bounce back, winning 3-1 in Game 2 against the Red Deer Rebels. Gavin McKenna finished the night with a goal and three assists while Zach Zahara held down the fort, stopping 30 of the 31 shots he faced. As for the Rebels, Ollie Josephson scored the only goal as the series heads to Red Deer tied at one.
Prince George Cougars 7, Spokane Chiefs 4
Series: Prince George Leads 2-0
Despite allowing four goals in the third, the Prince George Cougars were able to hang on, beating the Spokane Chiefs 7-4 in Game 2. Riley Heidt was once again dominant with three assists, while Terik Parascak scored late into an empty net to seal the game for the Cougars. For the Cheifs, they received strong efforts from Layton Feist, who scored twice and Owen Martin, who had a goal and an assist but were unable to battle back and now face a 2-0 deficit headed back to Spokane.
Portland Winterhawks 5, Victoria Royals 1
Series: Portland Leads 2-0
Over in Portland, the Winterhawks took a commanding 2-0 series lead after a 5-1 victory over the Victoria Royals. James Stefan was a star for Portland, recording two goals and an assist, while Gabe Klassen chipped in with three assists. As for the Royals, Dawson Pasternak scored the only goal, while Cole Reschny recorded his first career WHL playoff point with an assist.
Kelowna Rockets 3, Wenatchee Wild 1
Series: Tied 1-1
Caden Price's three-assist effort helped the Kelowna Rockets defeat the Wenatchee Wild 3-1, sending the series to Kelowna tied at one. Jari Kykkanen was strong in net-stopping 21 of 22 shots he faced, while Trae Johnson's first-period goal stood up as the winner. Over on the Wild's side, Briley Wood followed up his six-point performance with an assist, while Daniel Hauser stopped 24 of 26 in the loss.
Everett Silvertips 2, Vancouver Giants 1
Series: Tied 1-1
Thanks to two goals from Austin Roest, the Everett Silvertips defeated the Vancouver Giants 2-1, tying up their series at one. Cade Zaplitny chipped in with two assists, while Tyler Palmer made 20 saves in the win. As for the Giants, Brett Mirwald was once again the story as he made 53 saves in the defeat.
